Passion for property: Harcourts Grenadier

It’s commonly said that if you want a job done properly, give it to a busy person.

Described as driven, friendly, and inquisitive, Jaggy Singh is also highly organised, successful, and, yes… busy.

Fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, Jaggy relocated from his home in Haryana, India in 2014. Since then, Jaggy’s entrepreneurial nature has seen him establish and lead numerous businesses across Canterbury. Recognising his market knowledge and passion for people and property, he was encouraged into real estate 12 months ago.

Despite the challenges that 2021’s buyers faced, his focus and commitment to assisting clients in property transactions have seen him help 16 families into homes. A significant achievement in such a short space of time, recognised in October as Harcourts Grenadier’s Rising Star.

Jaggy’s top tips for purchasing property:

  1. Write your wish list, then prioritise the non-negotiables. Understanding where your priorities lie helps you avoid dismissing homes that could work for you. For example, location is often non-negotiable and if necessary, you may be willing to sacrifice a bedroom to purchase in your ideal suburb. Understanding this early in the process will save you considerable time.
  2. Gather your team of experts. In addition to a dedicated salesperson, Jaggy also recommends engaging a mortgage broker before making an offer. Obtaining finance has become more complex recently, so having a great team on your side is vital.
